Common backyard projects

The main reason to use a line pump in a backyard is access. The mixer does not need to travel through the side yard or across finished property to reach the concrete placement.
PatiosConcrete routed behind the house to a prepared patio area.
Concrete padsRear-yard pads for outdoor structures and equipment.
Home additionsConcrete moved to new work behind or beside the existing house.
Pool projectsPool-related concrete and surrounding placements where the route fits the pump.
Detached structuresGarage, shed and accessory-building slabs beyond direct truck reach.
Rear foundation workFootings or structural concrete where the mixer cannot reach the forms.

Why a line pump works for backyards

A mixer truck may be too large for the side access or should not drive across finished landscaping. The line pump creates a delivery route around the house while the ready-mix truck remains at a practical loading point.

What the customer needs ready

Forms and reinforcement should be complete, the access route should be clear, the ready-mix time should be confirmed, and the placing/finishing crew should be ready before pumping begins.
A washout location should also be decided before the final load.

The side-yard route is the job

For complicated backyard access, a short video from the street to the placement area is often more useful than isolated photos. Show gates, corners, stairs, changes in grade and any finished surfaces along the route.

The actual path matters more than a straight-line measurement across the property.
